These terms govern your use of Covalentteam (the “Service”), provided by Green Guava Tree. By signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Covalentteam keeps the rhythm of an engineering manager’s meetings with their team. You sign in with GitHub and install the Covalentteam GitHub App on an organisation you administer, and from then on the Service says who is due a meeting and what has happened to that person since the last one, and keeps the notes, documents and follow-ups from it. It takes that signal from the work itself — who opened what, who reviewed it, what is waiting — and never from the contents of your code.
2. Your account
- You need a GitHub account to sign in. Your GitHub account remains governed by GitHub’s own terms, not these.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may only install the GitHub App on an organisation you are entitled to administer.
- You are responsible for having the standing to bring your colleagues’ activity into the Service, and for telling them you have.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you agree not to:
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network behind the Service, except under a disclosure arrangement agreed with us in writing.
- Attempt to access data belonging to another account or organisation.
- Use the Service to build a competing product, or to resell access to it.
- Use the Service to monitor an individual in a way the law where they work does not permit.
4. Your data
What the Service collects, how long it keeps it, and how to have it erased is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: activity ages out after a month, and erasing a team or an account removes it rather than hiding it.
5. Availability
The Service is provided as it stands. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. Where we plan a change that removes something you rely on, we will tell you at the address on your account before we make it.
6. Ending it
You may stop using the Service at any time and erase your team or your account from the admin screen. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will say why when we do.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Green Guava Tree is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above is when they last changed, and material changes will be sent to the address on your account before they take effect.
